Expert Makeup Tips for Different Wedding Functions

Every bride-to-be goes through the nightmarish dilemma of selecting and styling different dresses, looks and hairstyles for different wedding functions. Different functions require different makeup stylings, which every bride-to-be should definitely know about. So, here are some glamorous makeup tips to follow, while getting ready for your wedding functions.

Engagement

On the engagement night, you should look naturally beautiful. So, the makeup should be minimal and should bring out your natural allure.
  • After applying the concealer, use a light tinted moisturiser and a two-way cake. You can also simply use a mousse.
  • For eye shadow, choose cool pastel colours matching or complementing your dress, like sea green, lavender or baby pink.
  • To highlight under your brow, use golden or silver highlighters, which would go with your dress as well as brighten up your eyes.
  • Use an eyeliner or kohl pencil to line the rims. To get voluminous lashes apply a double coat of mascara.
  • Swipe a blusher, like pretty pink or placid peach, across the apple of your cheek to your ear, for a naturally glowing look.
  • Pick a soft-coloured pencil to outline your lips. Fill them with the same coloured long-lasting lipstick and waterproof lip gloss.
  • Go for expressive and creative nail-art designs, and embellish your ring finger with Swarovski crystals or feathers.

Cocktail

On the cocktail night dazzle your fiancé with style and oomph.
  • Use a concealer along with a light but long-lasting waterproof base. Affix it with loose powder.
  • Go for the ravishing smoky-eye makeup. Use copper or silver eye shadow. Smudge it with black eye shadow at the crease. Blend them well together for the best effect.
  • Apply golden or silver highlighter under your brows to make your eyes shimmer. To spark-up your style quotient go for emerald winged liners.
  • Apply 2-3 coats of mascara for big voluminous lashes. You can go for false eyelashes or eyelash extensions as well.
  • Choose a soft blush like baby pink or sleek peach. Swipe it across your cheek to your ear for a natural glowing look.
  • Light lipstick and gloss will contrast beautifully with your eyes.
  • Wear your hair in sensual curls that complement the sassy smoky look. Don a hair accessory that ups your oomph.

Wedding

The D-day is finally here and nothing short of flawless makeup will do. You need to be picture perfect, so, spare no expense.
  • Go for airbrush makeup, which uses a gun to apply waterproof silicon foundation on the face. There will be no cracks or unevenness. It is completely hygienic and perfect for your wedding look.
  • Ooze sensuousness with well-defined eyes. Use eye shadows such as orange, wine, blue, green or even red or magenta, which complement your dress.
  • Use silver or golden highlighter under the brows and apply winged eyeliners.
  • Curl-up your eyelashes with a curler and give them density with 2-3 mascara coats.
  • Outline your lips with a pencil like red, crimson, tangerine or coral. Fill them with same coloured lipstick and top it with same coloured lip gloss.
  • Choose a slightly darker blush to accentuate your features. Use a single round bindi or a line of designer bindis on the forehead.
  • Tie your hair in a trendy high bun, maybe with a studded braid, so that it looks attractive and helps you manage the dupatta easily.
Remember that even though you have hired the best stylist in the town for your wedding functions, but it is important that every bride-to-be should be aware of what does and does not look best on her.
